Dual scope dovetail adapters for Sky Watcher AZ-GTi
These allow mounting two scopes on the AZ-GTI. Screws into your mount
mount and locks in place using a 3/4" or 19mm wrench. The Alt clutch
operates normally.
#GTDS has a machined solid aluminum rectangular saddle, 4" long, and
securely grips your Vixen/Synta/Orion type 1.7" (44mm) wide dovetail bar
with two rounded tip stainless steel T-handle clamp bolts. Main bar is
stainless steel with an aluminum sleeve. Weighs 1.2 lbs.
#GTDT has a machined solid machined aluminum 3.1" diameter round
saddle and one stainless steel T-handle clamp bolt. Main bar is
stainless steel with aluminum sleeve. Weighs 13 oz.
You can achieve accurate alignment of the altitude axis with patience, but
three-point screw rings or shimming is required for the az axis.
The reasonable use of dual scope setups is to run your alignments on the
higher magnification, narrower field scope. The object will then be near
the center of the lower power scope.
