C-Mount to T-Thread Adapter
With female C-Mount threads on the inside and male T-threads on the
outside, this adapter allows C-Mount and CS video type lenses to be
mounted on cameras that have female T-threads. 1/8" thick, black
anodized aluminum, with two tooling holes for installation and removal.
Note: Don't let the sun be in the field or you may damage the camera!
Supplied with a .062" thick spacer washer for use with CS video lenses
on the Meade DSI Pro camera with ScopeStuff #DSIF faceplate. The
spacer washer fits inside female T-threads, and fits over male C-mount
threads. Lens infinity stop isn't valid.
Also available is #C2CS adapter for using C-Mount video lenses on the
Meade DSI Pro camera equipped with ScopeStuff #DSIF faceplate.
The focus range of C-mount lenses is very narrow, and the spacing from
the rear of the lens to the camera imager chip is critical, so this adapter
won't automatically work for all cameras without spacing adjustment. The
spacing from the camera imager chip to the #T2CA should be about 1/2".
#T2CK is a SkyCam kit for wide angle sky images using a DSI equipped
with our #DSIF Faceplate. The wide angle 2.8mm lens provides a ~70
degree view of the sky, with slight vignetting of the corners. The lens
focuses thru infinity, so the infinty stop of the lens is not at infinity. (useful
in case infinity gets further away?) Also focuses closer than 10 feet. Works
with Mead DSI Pro (monochrome) with filter side removed and our #DSIF
faceplate installed. May not achieve focus with other cameras!
While this DSI and lens combinination won't resolve fine detail over the
wide FOV, it does show stars, clouds, Milky Way, aircraft streaks, clouds,
satellites, meteors, and clouds!
