2D Binocular Mount Head

Solve the balance issue of big binoculars on tropods with this
mount head. Adjustable clutches slew smoothly and stay where
you point them, and your binoculars don't flop over!

Our cradle style mount head puts the altitude pivot at the center
of mass of the binos, so they can be tilted up and down smoothly
and will stay where you leave them. No counterweights needed.

Solid 1/4" thick aluminum construction will easily handle loads
of 20 lbs, but weighs only 1.5 lbs. Powder coated black, with
stainless steel hardware. Adjustable pivot clutches with PTFE
bearing surfaces. Three different pivot points allow use with
different size binoculars, up to 9.5 inches wide. With hardware
for mounting binos. Fits on standard 1/4-20 tripod style posts.

#BINA is the mount complete with the azimuth post, which spaces
the mount from your tripod head and provides both azimuth and
altitude slewing with adjustable clutches for bothe axes. Please
note that the head will not point to zenith if mounted vertically!

Works with Orion Megaviews, Oberwerk 20x90, 22x100, 25/40x100,
Antares 22x100, Celestron 25x100 Skymaster, Apogee 20x80-20x100
and others that have a 1/4-20 mounting post. Binoculars without a
vertical post need an "L" adapter, see below. Also works with
small refractors that have a 1/4-20 mounting block like Orion ST-80.

#BINX is a one inch high post extension for binoculars with vertical
mounting posts that are too short to allow proper mounting and
balancing. Machined aluminum, 1.5" diameter round extension has
1/4-20 x 3/8" male stud on top and 1/4-20 threaded hole in the bottom.
